Bill x-ray

Kodak CR140 System

We use modern x-ray to help in diagnosing your health. Our x-ray facility allows us to "look inside" so that we can better understand the alignment or misalignment of bones and joints. We use only state of the art equipment with minimal radiation exposure. Our x-ray equipment is regularly tested by the State of Georgia Radiation Unit.

Our office uses the Kodak CR-140 Point of Care system.  Computed Radiography (CR) uses very similar equipment to conventional radiography except that in place of a film to create the image, an imaging plate is used. Hence, instead of taking a film into a darkroom for developing in chemical trays, the imaging plate is run through a computer scanner to read and digitize the image. The image can then be viewed and enhanced using software that has functions very similar to conventional image-processing software, such as contrast, brightness, and zoom.  This system allows for up to 41 images per hour, and allows us to save diagnostic images to CD, and send images via the internet to other facilities.

Your health and safety are always our first priority. In most cases your x-rays can be completed in a matter of minutes, without the need for traveling to other locations.

"Why do we x-ray? Not to x-ray is to guess. We didn't earn our reputation by guessing."
