Dr. Randy Griffis was born in Flemington, NJ, a place famous for their furs. His family moved after a few months and after living in several states they then settled down in Valdosta, Georgia, his parents hometown during this 6-12th grade school years. He then went to college in South Carolina in 1975 and then moved back to Valdosta in January 2007, a place he calls "home." Prior to his returning to Valdosta, he maintain-ed an active Chiropractic and acupuncture office in Warrenton, Virginia for 16 years.
Dr. Griffis was educated at Lowndes High School (1975), Bob Jones University, (1980, B.S in Education), National College of Chiropractic, 1989, B.S. in Biology, 1990, Doctor of Chiropractic). He holds licenses in Virginia and Georgia and is a Licensed Physician Acupuncturist.
His family includes his wife, Eve, and three children, Charley Jean, 12, Daniel, 11 and Maggie, 3.
Dr. Griffis' belief in Chiropractic and health goes back to high school and college where he had a major interest in health and physical fitness. This evolved into a career as a Health and Physical Education teacher. During this time he took health, physical fitness and nutrition to a higher level. He became involved in distance running, triathlons and eventually worked up to doing 50 mile mountain races. Nutrition and Chiropractic played a big part in helping him function optimally during these times. He saw what good nutrition and Chiropractic did for him and others which led him to pursue a career in Chiropractic.
Acupuncture was also added to his practice a few years later. Dr. Griffis is a firm believer that good health is the responsibility of the individual and that as a Chiropractor he can help to guide and assist his clients towards that optimal health.
